Destination: Holguin
Address: Bariay National Park, Holguín, Cuba.

On the evening of October 27, 1492, ships led by Christopher Columbus arrived on the coast of what is today known as Bariay Bay, in the current province of Holguin.

It wasn?t until the following day that the conquerors and the island's inhabitants met for the first time, with equal curiosity. The natives looked on as the foreigners carried out an incomprehensible ceremony in which they declared these lands part of the Spanish Crown.

When you wander Bariay Monument National Park, you enter into contact with beautiful landscapes that witnessed that mutual discovery.
