The Musulmanes Complex was a labyrinth of small caves with access to a few larger rooms.

Cultural traces have been discovered both in the cave and in a nearby small outlet. The speleological groups have done some excavations and found remains of the diet of the aborigines who lived in this place. They also found objects made of shells and silex and various fragments of bones of the Cuban biggest extinguished a mammal from the Jurassic: the Megalognus rodens, which seemed to be part of the diet of the aborigine group.
